Catchacoma Lake

Catchacoma Lake is a much sought after cottager lake – it’s part of the Kawartha Highlands chain of seven lakes, which enable boaters to travel beyond their lake. Located within the Canadian Shield, Catchacoma is a typically deep, clear cold water lake with excellent water quality. There are many islands and water access cottages, a group that banded together and purchased the local marina.

Purchasing some water access properties includes a share in the Marina corporation which operates successfully, offering parking, docking, storage, boat repairs, and some cottage supplies. Catchacoma Lake is within a two-hour drive of the GTA, making it an excellent cottage destination – traditional cottages are being replaced with larger four-season waterfront ‘homes.’ Boaters love the opportunity to travel from Catchacoma Lake to adjoining lakes, including Mississauga Lake. However, water levels fluctuate seasonally, making this voyage easier at certain times of the year. Water level fluctuations can be 6’ plus so be aware when purchasing a property.
